Hospitality

Provide tournament programs, pairing sheets, general information, and assistance to players and spectators.  Staff various locations around the grounds/clubhouse to guide participants and spectators. Setup, monitor, and restock player locker room snacks.

 

Housing

Recruit  and coordinate with neighborhood families in the housing of  college players during the tournament weekend.  Coordinate and schedule airport transportation as needed for college players. 

 

Marshals
Staff holes to help control spectators.  Primary duties are to assist with crowd control on the course, facilitate player movement, and help with ball spotting.

 

Operations

This committee has three sub-committees that focus on different aspects of operations.  Course Set-Up: Responsible for all sign installation and placement, all main course and auxillary area roping as required, and cooler placement throughout the course.  Grounds: Set up and take down of tournament and sponsor tents and stands throughout the grounds.  Tables & Chairs: Responsible for setup of all tables and chairs as needed around the clubhouse and course.  Assist with other operations jobs as needed. This is a pre- and post-event committee with work required the week prior and days after the tournament.

 

Practice Area
Provide gallery control of the practice areas and to regulate access to and from all practice facilities for the players and tournament officials.

 

Registration
Provide check-in for all participants(Legends players, Collegiate players, Pro-Am participants). Assist Tournament Committee with Pro-Am goodie bag stuffing and some signage/display building.  This committee work is scheduled for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday only.

 

Rules
Work with the Rules and Competition Chair to provide rules assistance for the Legends and Collegiate tournaments.  Committee members must be a certified GSGA official or have USGA rules training.

 

Scoring
Receive and record scores and statistics during the competitive rounds.  There are three separate jobs available in the Scoring Committee: On-course Crew - Accompany a tournament group along the course recording scores of all players in the group,   Scoreboard Crew - Update the scoreboards and leaderboard, Live Scoring Crew – Enter scores coming in from the course into the on-line scoreboard.

 

Sponsorship - Pre-Tournament Committee

Work with other committee members to gain financial support from the community and corporate entities.  Committee has access to prior years' contacts, a detailed partnership package, and support from the Tournament Committee to accomplish financial goals for the year.   Contact Tournament Director, Jackie Cannizzo, 678-481-8484, jackiecannizzo@jcifoundation.org, if you would like to help with this committee.

 

Supply Distribution
Inventory, distribute, and maintain tournament supplies(ice, drinks, snacks). Organize, pack, and distribute volunteer lunches.
